David Kane, our owner, began his career in the accounting field.  After 20 years of running high caliber accounting departments, David spent the most recent 10 years as the Operations Manager for one of Atlanta’s best property management companies. 

A couple of the interesting companies that experienced his excellent financial guidance included Atlanta’s NHL team, the Atlanta Thrashers where he was the V.P./Controller from conception until the team was purchased. Prior to that he spent years as Controller for Turner Broadcasting’s documentary company, producing over 150 television productions each year. 

In the property management world, as Operations Manager David assisted his previous company, headquartered in Peachtree City, in more than doubling their size and providing high-quality property management services throughout Atlanta.  Living in Suwanee and commuting to Peachtree City, as any Atlantan knows, is not convenient… so we opened the Alpharetta office and launched PMI North Atlanta.  Being a newly formed office, we believe in the old mantra, "Take care of the home like it was your own."

As active members of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM), we work together with the best in our business to maintain our knowledge and strive to ensure property owners rights are heard.

To provide quality, faster, discounted service we partner with a maintenance company that specializes in property management.  They provide honest, reliable, and professional individuals with years of experience, properly licensed and insured where necessary, who will provide the following services:

  • Update owners on maintenance issues and property condition
  • Make all needed repairs whether minor or emergency
  • Handle Tenant repair requests and determine when tenant is the cause and document, so that tenant will pay the bill.
  • With knowledgeable, tenured vendors; they are well-versed in property management issues and know to point out any observations we need to know (i.e.: additional residents, pets, etc.)
  • Complete final walk out “Make Ready” repair

 Application Process

After receiving an application from a prospective Tenant (every resident over the age of 18 are required to have backgrounds checked), all applications are screened through:

  • National Tenant Network (NTN)
  • Credit Report and History
  • National Eviction Reports
  • Tenant Performance Reports
  • Public Records/Judgments
  • Sexual Predator/Terrorist databases
  • Rental history check
  • Employment verification

 Lease Agreements

When a Tenant is approved, we use the Georgia Association of REALTORS® Residential Lease Agreement which provides the following:

  • Defines the Term of the Lease
  • Includes full name of ALL residents covered by the lease
  • Lists the Tenant's Responsibilities
  • Includes Pet Agreement, Inventory and Condition Form
  • What the Rent and Security Deposit will be
  • Landlord's Rules and Regulations
