Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Preferred Properties is affiliated with Realogy Corporation the owner of the largest real estate brands and Cartus Relocation. Although the company was started in 2010, its origins began in 1978 when the Coffenberg family opened their first real estate company. That company evolved into one of the largest real estate companies in the country. Our current office is located in Rumson, NJ and this office has continuously been owned and operated by George Coffenberg since 2000.

Our agents and staff have over 350 years of real estate business experience and we are open 7 days a week.  George Coffenberg started the property management division for the company in 1988 and has been responsible for this division ever since. We are members of the Monmouth/Ocean MLS system which allows us to attract tenants when properties become vacant. We are also members of the National Association of Realtors, NJ Association of Reators, and Monmouth County Association of Realtors. We are regulated by the NJ Real Estate Commission and we have full insurance coverage. With over 20 years of property management experience, George Coffenberg has been able to successfully resolve some of the most difficult situations a property owner would ever have to encounter. We use local insured and licensed vendors to service the properties under management. These vendors do quality work at fair prices.  

Our company has managed all types of properties over the past 23 years. They range from shopping centers, office buildings, condos, single family homes, multi-family properties, and large apartment buildings. All of the properties have been located in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. We carefully screen our prospective tenants using credit scores, eviction records, as well as criminal reports. We also own a sister commercial real estate company called Coffenberg Commercial Real Estate for handling commercial type properties. We market vacant units using the most popular websites for residential as well as commercial real estate. Our owners received detailed computerized reports each month along with the invoices for any work performed.
